A video menu for restaurants in Dubai that sells the dish before the waiter arrives
You put a QR code on the table because paper menus were a hassle. Fair enough. But be honest about what guests see when they scan it: a PDF, pinched and zoomed, with dish names and prices and nothing else. A video menu for restaurants in Dubai replaces that PDF with the thing guests actually want, which is to see the dish move before they order it.
The PDF QR menu is on its way out
A PDF on a phone is worse than the paper it replaced. It is hard to read, it does not show the food, and it makes the guest do the work of imagining what "slow-cooked lamb shoulder" looks like. Most of them do not bother. They order the thing they already know, which is usually the cheapest safe option.
Meanwhile those same guests spend all day watching food on TikTok. They are used to seeing the cheese pull, the pour, the cut. Then they sit down at your table and get a list.
People decide with their eyes
A video of the dish sells the dish. Show the lamb being pulled apart and the guest who was going to order the chicken changes their mind. Show the dessert being cracked open and the table that was going to skip dessert orders two. None of that needs a discount, a push from the waiter or a special. It just needs the guest to see it.
That is the difference between a digital menu with videos and a digital menu that is just a file. One describes the food. The other makes people want it.
You already pay for the videos, so use them twice
Here is the part most owners miss. If Viral ambassadors are filming at your venue every week, you already have short, well-shot videos of your best dishes. Right now they live on TikTok and Instagram and bring people through the door. A video menu takes the same videos and puts them in front of the guest who is already sitting at your table, at the exact moment they are choosing.
So the same content does two jobs. On TikTok, it gets you found. On the table, it gets you the higher order. You are not paying for a second shoot, a photographer or a menu designer.
How a QR video menu works with Viral
It is a short chain and every link is something you already have or we build for you.
- A QR tent sits on the table. Guests scan it the way they scan your PDF today, so there is nothing new to explain to staff or guests.
- It opens a visual menu page we build for your venue, with each dish shown as a short video or photo rather than a line of text.
- The videos on that page are the same ambassador videos that live on TikTok, so the menu gets better every week as new dishes are filmed.
- You control what is on it. Set "the new menu" as your monthly focus in the Viral app and the ambassadors film the dishes you want on the page.
Ambassadors are licensed content creators who visit your venue every week, film scene-by-scene scripts we write, and post on TikTok and Instagram. Every post is verified before it counts, so you can trust the menu is being fed by real, live content and not promises.
Why it raises the average order without discounting
Discounts raise volume by lowering margin. A video menu does the opposite. It nudges guests toward the dishes you want to sell, the ones with the best margin or the ones that make people come back, by showing them at their best. The guest pays full price and feels like they chose well, because they did.
It also takes pressure off the floor. Your servers do not need to describe every dish or upsell every table. The menu does it, consistently, at every table, on the busiest Friday and the quietest Tuesday.
What it costs
The ambassador programme is AED 1,999 per month per ambassador, month to month. That includes 4 weekly visits, scripts, voice-over, TikTok SEO captions on every video, verification, live app access with views and reach per video, and a monthly report. If you do not get 4 verified posts in a month, that month is free. The video menu page is built on top of that content. Ask us on the call about setup for your venue.
We already work with Dubai venues like OCCO in Business Bay, Vesna, Isma and Sanos. Ask us what changed on their tables and we will show you the numbers rather than guess.
Questions owners ask
Do I need to replace my current QR codes?
Only the destination changes. The tent on the table still shows a QR code; it now opens the visual menu page instead of a PDF. If you want, we supply new tents so the design matches the page.
What happens when I change the menu?
Set the new dishes as the monthly focus in the Viral app and the ambassadors film them on their weekly visits. As those videos go live they are added to the page. Dishes you drop are removed. No reprint, no PDF to re-upload.
Does every dish need a video?
No. Dishes without a video yet are shown with a photo and a short description, and the videos fill in as the ambassadors work through the menu. Start with your signatures and the dishes you most want to sell.
Do I need the ambassador programme to have a video menu?
The menu is built from the ambassador videos, so yes, the two go together. That is what keeps the cost down. You are not paying for a separate shoot, you are reusing content you already own and that is already working for you on TikTok.
If your guests are still scanning a PDF, book a call. We will look at your menu, show you what a video menu page looks like for a venue like yours, and tell you what it would take to have one on your tables.
